Zero Degrees!!!

The other day I visited a local Frozen yogurt place with a friend to test out their unique flavors and location. To be completely honest I thought it would be the same as the other fro yo places we already have in Kuwait.. but it turned out to be something that truly blew me away! Such a unique concept, where the owners have come up with a story, a selection of characters for each delicious flavor they have! Names like Octagreen for kiwi, and lighty lemon for lemon, which in my opinion is the cutest little character hehe ;p and many more, when you enter the shop on the left is an art piece, the entire wall is a comic type drawing of all the flavors, or i should say characters they have. From kiwi to pomegranate, the original, mango and much more.. My favorite was the original, it was perfect! I am very picky when it comes to fro yo, and their original really did it for me!! I am definitely going back their again.. The Kiwi as well.. amazing!! As for the toppings, they have such a wide selection that it took me forever to decide what to put on top, I really didn’t want to miss out on any of the delicious flavors ;p The owners of Zero degrees are really trying to have something different here, all their ingredients are of best quality and lower in fat then what is already in the market. The staff at the store are soo much fun, where they even tried to get me to use the characters names instead of the actual fruit so i can be part of this wonderful comic experience with them. They have a really nice seating area outside which is a lovely place to enjoy as the weather is on the cooler side lately! So hurry up and go check this place out!! I loved it! 🙂

Baking mood :)

I decided to make some moist chocolate chip cookies (Martha Stewart’s recipie) and honey, lemon and vanilla pound cake (Ina Garten’s recipe).. I was really happy with the cookies, they tasted quite good 🙂 but the cake was alright.. Like nothing that would blow you away.. but nice for a morning snack along with your tea.. But next time I am going to try to add more vanilla, or some more lemon just for that extra bit of flavor… Also I made some pasta, and i was sooo happy with the sauce, i didnt think it would come out tasting that good! but it was great! 🙂 it was tomato’s blended with salt, pepper, olive oil, thyme, basil, oregano, garlic.. and at the end i stirred in some cream and cooked it for about 3 to 4 minutes so it gets thick .. Worked really well with the pasta.. Over all it was nice change from dessert.. Will definitely try out more salty dishes 🙂

Lovely surprise at work today

A dear friend at work today decided to bring our group the yummiest digestive biscuit, creamy mousse type of dessert. It is like a creamy pudding blended with digestive biscuits and maybe a bit of condensed milk, im not quite sure.. either way it was delicious! Each person had their own little cup with this heavenly mixture inside of it.. honestly it was soooo tasty, you can add Hershey chocolate syrup for some extra sweetness if you like. Another light dinner

Yesterday had some friends over for a light snack/dinner, it was one of our best friend’s goodbyes 😦 we will miss you T and good luck in London!! 🙂 On a happier not.. dinner 🙂 we had stuffed zuccini with beef and vegetables ( soo good!! ) ceasars : hotdogs, zaatar and pizza. Warag 3anab and mushroom rolls and lebnah and kiri sandwiches from Al Safi.. And dessert from November and cheese cake from Al Safi as well.. all mini bites and all tasty 🙂

Best Barbeque Ever!

On Saturday my friend had us over for a bbq and it was by far the most delicious meal I have ever had! I am not kidding you one bit! The meat was so tender and tasty, such a simple marination of olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper (Thanks F! )… Thats all it needed because the meat was perfection. We got it from Prime cuts in Salmiya, same place that supplies to Meat Company. Following the lovely bbq we indulged in some home made bread pudding.. yummm!!
